Riley is 2nd from the left in the lead pack at about the first mile....in the Capitol 10k.

It looks like Riley is getting warmed up for a stellar track season this year.

Last summer a disappointing foot injury kept Riley from competing at track nationals. The time off stirred up a determination with him and he wrapped up cross cross country season with a national title for 11-12 boys at the AAU XC Nationals.

To get warmed up for the spring track season he broke his own school record in the 2400m by 28 seconds. He went 7:42 and then ran the anchor of the mile relay in 60 seconds with about 30 minutes in between races.

In a later meet he took down the school record in the 1600m with a run of 4:51.

Pretty great way to start his Middle School Track season. He goes to Briarhill Middle School, which is located in Highland Village, Texas and it is part of Lewisville ISD.

In a later meet he took down the school record by running in the 1600m with a run of 4:51.

If that wasn't enough, yesterday he took on the Capitol 10k in Austin, Texas. He started up front and ran with the big dogs..and out of 23,272 runners, riley came in 31st with a time of 35:28.

What a great way to start the season!

Keep a watch out for Riley Nedrow.
