Five members of the Harrisburg Parks and Recreation's team brought home six medals Sunday from the AAU Junior Olympics at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich. All competed in the age 15-16 division, and combined for the most successful trip that the department has made in its four trips to the event.

The winners included the following: Dashaun Jackson (6th, boys' 400 meter hurdles); Sierra Brabham-Lawrence (3rd, girls' 100 meter hurdles, and 6th, 4x4 meter relay); Alysha Evans (6th, girls' 4x4 meter relay); Christina Johnson (6th, girls' 4x4 meter relay, and a semifinalist in the 200 meter dash), and Andrea Street (6th, girls' 4x4 meter relay). The girls' 15-16-year-old 4x1 meter relay also just missed finals placing 11th overall.

Head coach Tamika Lamon had the following people assisting: Tyrah Mosby (hurdles); Jon Jon Wellington (throws); Dominique Dockens (jumps); Hanif Johnson (jumps/sprints/throws), and Rachel Wilson-Johnson (team registrar/manager). They took along 24 members to compete.
